Hi Guys,

I need to replace the spedometer cable on my 320. An L16 engine was installed in it and I am not sure what type of transmission....

Is the connection on the cable fairly universal? I'm thinking of parting out my 73, would the spedo cable from there work?

Thanks in advance.

The connection on the back of the speedometer is different.  I did temporarily put an L series cable in my NL until I dug out my 320 cable.  It connected to the stock 320 trans, so I'll assume the stock 320 cable will match up just fine on the trans end.  It will not match up on the speedo end, but it will push in and turn it just fine.  You just have to hope it doesn't fall out.

When you're under the rig for the cable....can you take some pics of your trans mount to add to your other thread on the motor mounts?  Thanks :)

I will take some pics this weekend. From the quality that I saw when I crawled under there last night, it looks like the original mount.

Does any one know if a 520 Speedometer Cable will work on a 320 - it sounded as though the previous post was talking about a later model.

Thanks

Dale
