had Fujita make me a special black intake for my car; they really liked the way it came out so they might put it on the market.

Hey Zenk, being in Hawaii, how did you pull that off?

I guess "special" because it doesn't come in black; but they might start producing the intake in black due to the favorable response in-house @ fujita.

generic, to answer your question, having been in the aftermarket business for years has its perks, just had to call in a favor.

Did you own a shop back in the day? If so, which one?

Anodizing is an electro-chemical process that hardens aluminum. (Hard-Anodized aluminum is 30% harder than stainless steel.) During hard-anodization, aluminum is submerged in an acid bath, then subjected to electrical charges. The result is a chemical reaction where the surface of the aluminum combines with oxygen to become aluminum oxide. This reaction is also known as oxidation, a process which occurs spontaneously in nature. Hard-anodization is actually controlled, accelerated oxidation.

sorry, took the pic w/ my cell cam, it's flat black "matted" textured powercoat. didn't want polished or chromed piping.

generic, I managed 2 shops on the island; KMA Racing (1995-2000) and WMR (2000-2007).

LOL I remember KMA, it was on Dillingham, right? I had a throttle body port & polished from you guys back in 95-96ish. I think I also ordered my Hotshot header from you guys too. Hmm...maybe you remember my car? It was a white 94 SE-R, pretty much slammed, and also had a NOS fogger set-up in there.

LOL yeah, I had custom plates. I just wish I had pics of the car on my comp, but it was so long ago that I have them somewhere on film I did have the wheels below on it though. And yeah, I used to race the brackets on Friday nights at Campbell's Boy do I really miss that car!
