It can be done. I dont know wtf you get adapters though. Why not just go with some 4.5's?

The rears are 6.5s and the fronts you can take a peice of thin wood and make your own plates with a drill and a jigsaw. Thats what i did in Red. 6.5's in the front and 6x9's in the rear.

I remember seeing somewhere on the web a Nissan that has the 4x6 in the fronts, that they converted to 6 1/2 components. They used a peice of plexiglass and made it really pro looking. I'l try to find the site again, but that is the exact route I am going.

what year/body style do you have? I have a 90 hatch and it has 4x6 all around...Quote »and the fronts you can take a peice of thin wood and make your own plates with a drill and a jigsaw.[/quote]

Do you have to take the whole bracket out or just the speaker?

I have some 6 1/2s because A&B Sound said I had those in the back and 4x6s in the front so I took the back ones apart and found the 4x6s so I took the door panel off and found the same thing...pissed me right off...I am impressed by the sound quality though...for 4x6...not good enough unfortunately...anyways, thanx in advance for replying!

I put some new speakers and I made the thing bigger to fit them in. The back speakers if they away to get something bigger tell me becaue I might just cut them off since I got a box speakers in the trunk.

i got 6x9's in the front. i just took out that whole stock amp crap and took that plug and found the 2 wires that were for the speaker and spliced them to the speaker(well my freind kinda did that cause i dont know much about speakers i dont stuff like that i just got the speakers for free). the 6x9s kinda fit in the whole i just drilled 2 more wholes for them to mount and the fit perfectly. It could of been done better if i had some time but it was in the dark and i had to finish real fast but it fit fine.
