I've been searching for hours, and haven't realy found much that helps. My problem is my aftermarket speakers dont even come close to lining up with the stock holes. My aftermarkets are 6.5, so do I need some sort of mounting plate? The only thing I have found are these from crutchfield.

I also found a pari on ebay made for the versa, but cost more. Has anyone made their own, or have a quick (and cheap) fix, so that I don't have to pay for mounts, and waste my time on shipping? Thanks

I've never had a lot of luck with the Crutchfield adapters...they're made of really flexible plastic. I bought these on ebay but I heard you can get the same exact set at Best Buy for the same price (save yourself the shipping). http://cgi.ebay.com/6-Front-or...wItem

I've already called about 4 different best buys around me asking for them. I've called them different things, speaker mounts, ring mounts, speaker adapter, etc, and every time I ask I get an "I dont know what that is" or a "No we dont sell that"

The Alpine SPS-17C2 6 1/2 speakers came with the adapters. These were bought at Wurst Buy. I wouldn't trust Wurst Guy to put W/S wiper fluid in my car.

yeah, i bought my Infinity 3022i's at Best Buy, they came with it, i didnt think they would line up, but as you screw it in, they do go in... i would get those though, ive had great experience with crutchfield... if you need help though, just do the "free chat" under customer service... if its not there, it means its closed, and they reopen during normal, non-nocturnal hours.

Why bother with adapters? Get a drill & drill new holes. Use silicone sealant to glue the speaker to the door to eliminate the speaker to sheetmetal rattle.

There is a small amount of space between the window when rolled down and the speaker hole. My speaker didn't touch the sheetmetal with the window down. I built a 3/4" circular ring out of MDF wood, used the bolt holes already in place (had to buy some longer bolts), and then screwed the speaker to the MDF baffle. I had about a half inch between the speaker and the window.
