After only having my new Rogue six days, it got hit in a parking lot yesterday . The good news is the person left their information, but my car is still going to have to be repaired. I am less than thrilled.......

If its on the bumper, maybe after its fixed u can try Bumper Badger or one of those removable bumper covers

Sorry about the hit though,at least they were nice enough to leave their info

Oh no... I'm sorry to hear that. Atleast that person actually leaves the information, most people if given the chance would just kept going.

I hope you get your Rogue fixed up soon.

What color is your rogue? I hope it isn't Iridium Graphite. That color looks like it would be hard to recreate at a body shop.

I got a quote earlier this morning. It is going to be around $800 in repairs. The good news is they don't need to replace the panels (which they couldn't get right now), but the bad news is they are going to need it for at least three days because they are having to take off two panels (rear left and bumper) and remove the rear left window to allow repainting. My husband has had work done at this shop before and they do a great job, so I am trying to be hopefull rather than bitter.

I guess I don't have to worry about the car getting its first door ding now.....

Sorry to hear!!! I am so scared of that happening when I get mine. For some reason, Lexington is an awful place for accidents - I see more here than when I lived in Chicago! Must be all the podunk people coming here from their "hollers" who are scared to death of driving in the "big city"!!!

Man I'm sorry what a tough break! Gotta be a new car owner' worse nightmare. Good luck with the repairs. If it helps your not alone, my wife and her 2004 Accord got hit yesterday by someone running a red light. Luckily she was turning right as the hit her and the damage is minor to the front fender and door... $2200 worth and no injury. But that car had less than 15k miles and not even a door ding. Oh well we have both been driving 30-35 years with no wrecks at all. BE CAREFULL OUT THERE.

It appears as though this was intended to be a bad week. In addition to my Rogue getting hit, a huge paiinting fell on me at Garden Ridge, two people stood me up for meetings and my husbands Pathfinder had to go back into the shop to have some recent body work corrected. So I am not taking my Rogue to tailgate at the UK vs Florida game today. It is staying in garage

Tic - Wrecks always suck. I am glad your wife wasn't seriously injured.

My Rogue is now at the body shop. I am also working on gettig some reinbursement from the insurance company as I now have a carfax report to follow my new car thanks to a sloppy driver....

Anyhow, I have a Ford Edge as my rental for the next four days. I do not like it at all! It seems too big, slow and is difficult to turn.....and it smells really bad....but they didn't have anything else on the lot...

Needless to say, i can't wait to get my Rogue back!!

This is very true, in my opinion!

I did actually look at the Edge when shopping and I liked it okay then, but I drove one with all the options and it wasn't a loaner with 17k on it. You can tell my rental has been beaten up!!

I actually am not a fan when people post negative reviews on vehicles they don't own. I figure, there wouldn't be so many choices if everyone liked the same thing. With the Edge for instance, it isn't a car I would want, but obviously some people like them or they wouldn't keep selling them!

This is jlsatt00's husband.

Funny story about that Edge...the wife has already gotten use to not having to use her key in the Rogue...so when I came home from work last night the Edge was in the garage and I noticed the key's were in it and turned to accessory.

HAHAH

Then it stopped being funny this morning -- dead battery, and I couldn't find the Shift Lock switch to get it out of Park w/ the dead batter...nor could I get jumper cables to it in my garage....so I sent the wife off in my Pathfinder and here I sit waiting for Enterprise to send someone to jump the car from a jump pack.

I am taking it back to Enterprise this morning and getting another car though, this thing smells like someone drove it to Mexico w/ a load of dead prostitutes or something...I can't stand to be in it all day.

I retract my statement about my wife killing the battery.

Turns out it was some major problem w/ the car's electrical system. The jump packs woudln't even get the interior lights to come on. Some relay must be fried.

Still sitting here at home, missing my 8am meeting, waiting for Enterprise to come pick me up (Edge just left on a flat bed).

I want to find that lady from that Edge commercial and trade her a Ford Edge for her Murano straight up. She said she would do it....

Ended up w/ a new (still temp tags) Grand Cherokee -- not a bad SUV, but like my Pathfinder MUCH better.

Oh this is funny - you couldnt make this stuff up!

I am worried that I will be leaving my house and work keys everywhere when I get my keyless ignition.... this could be bad! At least I know that I wont be the only one doing it!

After a long five days, I finally have my Rogue back. I must say, I never realized how much I appreciate good milage. My second rental was a V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee. It used 6 gallons of gas and I only drove about 70minutes!!

I went to pick it up on Thursday and the auto body shop did an awful job matching the seam, left overspray in several spots, new scratches in the paint and the bumper wasn't aligned properly. With many complaints, it is now looking good, but has somehow lost the new feeling
