Figure I post some our members valve covers that I've done.

The valve covers are from a CA18DET and the other a 1992 Stanza SOHC.

The more work the better, Im trying to save up $900 for this Powder Coating gun that just came out. It would allow me to do more valve covers yet maintain quality in shorter time and gives me more precision control.

Do it, im betting you have the newer version of the Harbor gun which completely sucks compared to the older versions from a year or so ago. i know i have 4 of the new ones, I had an employee break 2 of my old guns so he went out and bought the new ones and tossed to older ones i about beat his a$$ over that. i just don't do enough coating anymore to justify the new gun they just developed.

I started off with Harbor Freight gun than I switched over to the Caswell Adjustable Gun. Looks like the HF gun but has a smaller box and goes up to 50kv. Sooooo much easier to do multiple coats. I can do about 5-6 coatings with no problems.

hmm i may order one of those, 800 is a bit much, but 250 i can justify if i can get it to actually get powders to stick again. have you gotten a bigger oven yet? i just picked up two kitchen ovens for free i figure i can do smaller parts with better heat control rather then use my big oven that sucks at heat control.

Unfortunatly not yet, all the bigger ovens that I want to pick up are expensive like $3000+ for one that would fit me. I want one big enough to do Mountain Bike frames. I'd love to do mine in some crazy color and add my own logo. Damn I need to get vinyl plotter so I can add stickers to do ghost effects or leave them in like logo placement :p

Eh we just got mostly wind and little bit of rain. Not that crazy flooding I've seen.

I fared alright just pissed because the storm backed me up 2 weeks from powder coating cause I had to come in to work on my days off to assess some of the non existent damage and the crappy rain tends to effect when powder coating.
