Cool! What ratio is it? I heard that some of the later limited slip units got soft and don't bite like the early ones did. I also read (and if I remember correctly) that you can add discs to it to tighten it up. Perhaps Desert Rat will know more.

no idea but the leaf purches are identical in distance but the over all width is 5/8 of an inch wider

Was the new axle from a 2wd or 4wd?

yea i just looked at your email, and called the nissan dealership and they told me the 2wd and 4wd versions are no different maybe i got luck and got the early 2002 version that seems the be "more agressive"

if not ill figure something out to remedy this

k so i notched it today



yes i boxed the frame and plated the top

the exhaust need an "adjustment"

and my gas tank mount ghetto i know but i stood on it and it was pretty sturdy

I wouldn't have re-drilled the perches but that's just me. I meant were you going to install new bushings in the leaf pack....ie Energy Suspension?

I still use mine as a truck now and then, excessive lowering would hinder that. Plus call me a snobby purist but I just don't trust those kinds of mods.

That frontier axle is about 4" wider than what you took out. It should have a 4.636 rear gear if it came from an SC truck. It's all the beef you'll ever need, but it's gonna stick out on the sides.

so more progress today

i intalled some new pintos yay

got it back on the ground

heres a picture of my ghetto redrill

got the parking brake mocked up

and now i need a driveshaft, heres what i have to work with

thanks well the truck is pretty much done now but i dont like the final product so tearing back down on tuesday

gonna 4 link it and coil over the rear end

for coil overs im gonna be running a pair of yamaha r6 rear shocks lol yea baller on a budget

oh btw i dont recommend this rear end swap unless you want it to be a trail rig, the gear ratio is horribly low.

and its pretty damn wide too

Have you thought about welding the spider gears in the stock rear end?

I know it is not ideal but, it a cheap solution for a locking diff.

so me and a buddy started the 3 link today made awesome progress

the lower link bars

the upper wishbone link so far

the lower link installed

the brackets on the pumpkin

the new crossmember

all i need now is two more link end bushings, grade 8 bolts, install my driveshaft, brake lines, weld the upper link together, cut the bed, and but the coilovers lol lots left
