Hi,

I don't believe the leak between your transmission and the engines is what caused the fluid to go on your buddies windshield, you might be actually burning some oil and under load some will make it through the windshield. If it is not oil, you might be running rich and the access fuel is making it out of the exhaust.

The oil between the transmission and the engine can be cause by couple things. If the valve cover seals closer to the fire wall are leaking, the oil will make its way to the bottom of the engine thus making you think it is coming from the lower section of the engine. So take a good look from undereath to see if you can determine or see any oil leak coming from the top of the engine. If there is no oil leak from the top of the engine. chances that you have a bad rear main seal.

Good luck,

well after spending 2 hours under the car its definatly leaking closer to the firewall and running down the transmission. I jacked the car up all the way turned it on and let it warm up, it was just dripping then . If i rev it up then it starts to come out alot. My problem is i cant see anything under the car or under the hood. Do i need to take the motor out? Take the intake manifold off ? Im not really sure were to go from here, any suggestions are helpful thanks
