I know there is info out there on the subject but i seem to suck at the search command on nico. i dont need this to be a big thread but i would like it if someone could spend a few seconds to redirect me to another link where they discuss the SOHC pistons in a DOHC block. I will list my questions for fun, but like i said, i really just need a link.

If i use sohc pistons do i need to use there connecting rod as well?I can still use the same crank shaft right, i wouldnt see why not...Do i need to change my fuel injectors? Will my ecu be fine stock or does something need to refashed? Will the sohc piston rings fit fine. Can i just drop my oil pan and do this through the bottom of the engine without haveing to take out the engine? Is there anything else im missing.

Next time search before you post....this has been covered.

Yes, you can still use your connecting rods.Yes, same crankNo, you dont need to change your fuel injectorsYes, the rings will fit because the sohc and dohc are the same bore. (i would hone and install new piston rings though)No, you can pull them out the bottom of the engine (oil squirters). It would be easier to remove the engine and do it but if you really wanted to you could leave it in.

first page of a search led to this:
