I've been following this thread from day 1 and im seriously excited to see it comming together, and its not my car. Sock you must be totally stoked to have accomplished so much work especially as you said you had little experience when you started. As far as this car getting ROTM its not about having a show car its about loving the car you have and putting in the time it takes to make it what you want it to be. Now be carful with knives, flying shrapnel from broken tools, and poor drivers in the future, we need to see this car done

This will probably be the last update for a while since college is occupying most of my time. I expect I will get some work done this winter, but it won't be at the rate I was doing it during the summer.

Wheels somewhat on.

For the first time since March, the car is off jackstands.

Hmm... that's kind of low. Top of roofline measures 46.5 inches.

Rear suspension (waiting for Toe arms)

It's a nice change to see it finally on the ground. Shame you wont be able to put as many hours into it anymore, I'm sure after all this work you're ready to drive it.

Sadly, I dont feel like we have enough people building cars to merit a project of the month. Maybe I just need to surf more.

Just sat and went through 8 pages, read every post...took 2 hours after examining pictures and all. Wow that's a lot of rust. Looks taken care of in my book. I'm curious about your engine management. Are you going to go with something like Megasquirt???

Actually, I worked out some things in my class setup - Wednesdays from 11:30am to 6:00pm, I have a nice long break to work on the car.

Looks like we're down to weekly updates, but still updates!

Sorry Sock, I hate to tell you this but you've got a lot of body work ahead of you still... now that you have to mold the rear bumper flat and all.

I was thinking about LS1'ing the 240 this winter, but decided to stay on course.

I finally found the pic I was looking for back when we were discussing your method for pressing bushings in. Check this out... you could use anything really heavy that the jack and part would fit under but we use this normally. We've used the hitch on a John Deere 4440 before too.

as always awsome work.

AS for who ever said it being a Vette, i've always wantd to chop off that back part of the bumper that sticks out. I think it'd make the car look alto bettter lol.

I hate having a seat on the back of my car.
