Driving home from work yesterday the service engine soon light came on and the sound on my radio went "off". At the next light I turned the car off... started it again... and the sound was back but the light was still on. I called the local Infiniti dealership and scheduled an apt for this afternoon to have it hooked up and checked out.
After about an hour at the dealership I was informed that some sort of communication antenna that works with my key fob had malfunctioned and it would have to be replaced (hopefully under the extended warranty).. and while they were waiting on the part I could take the car home and bring it back when they were ready for install. I went back and waited for them to bring the car around... and waited... and waited.. and waited. Finally after about an hour of waiting for them to "pull it around" I was told to take a loaner home. They think they fried the ECM when they were diagnosing my original problem and the car won't start.. lol...
So this should be a fun and interesting experience. The dealership is nothing but helpful and friendly... but I worry about any other problems that might be created with this and wonder how long it will take to get my car back...
Anyone else have to replace an ECM after having their key fob antenna go out? lol

Turns out they discovered that they just popped a fuse. I was able to go get it last night. Now waiting on word as to whether the extended warranty will cover the replacement of the key antenna dohicky.
