I was considering an rb26 but I did some research and appearently there really hard to work on and they tend to over heat. as for my engine right now, its burning oil and the oil pressure gauge drops when I'm at idle but when I give it gas it goes back up. my mechanic said that its possible that whan the engine heats up it expands causing the pressure to drop at idle witch may also cause the oil to burn. he knows a guy that will sell me a complete engine for 1600$ unlimited mile lifetime warranty. should I get a zx turbo engine or stay with the n/a zx engine? witch one would have more options to work with for performance upgrades?

I am a fan of the L28ET, but before you make up your mind, a properly running proposed cooled RB should run no hotter than any other engine, and while more complicated a difficult to work on than the L28 it's still far easier than the VG30DETT, and you can rebuild your stock engine for far less than that quote

I'm gonna just stick with a z engine and keep it somewhat original. as for the price, that's probly the cheapest I can get for one around here with that kinda warranty. I guess ill just get a l28et and just work from there. any suggestions on performance upgrades? I've got about a month to two and a half months till I do the swap, so I've got some time to make some decisions on what I want to put inside the engine. forged pistons, rods and crank mabey?

depends on what you expect from it when done, if you're happy with 200-250 wp you can pretty much keep everything stock, it's north of there you need upgrades

you should be able to outrun the subie with jasic upgrades to an L28ET, your S130 is pretty light, and you can easilly achieve low 12 second et's with a good intercooler, and FPR, upgrade the turbo, Injectors and fuel pump and you'll have an 11 second car
