Same profile / sizes as my stock potenza summer tire (245 front + 265 rear)
Hopefully my car will have much more traction in snow, and I could drive with confidence and not worrying that my Z is going to slide around even if I hit the brakes?

from what i herd from a g owner i know theses are the best tires for the snow they let u actually drive the car in the snow instead of sliding around and spinning the tires

A thinner tire will cut through the snow and bite in as opposed to sitting on top. i assume the lm-25s are Blizzaks? make sure to keep note of their speed rating. when things get plowed and dry up you might relapse into your summer driving style snow tires are great for acceleration and overall grip but braking in the snow will never get near dry performance.

Hey Waltham! whats up? yes indeed as usual the whole state is loosing its mind over the first snow storm. good choice on snow tires, last time i was in your area was to visit the Factory Five Racing shop. Must be some rough backroads around there, especially with a plow coming towards ya

Hey thanks guys, this makes perfect sense!
Yes these are Blizzak LM-25s. Speed rating = R (160K/H). In the snow, I probably won't go above 80K/H. On dry pavement, well you know how the Z craves to be driven =)

If you are in an area that gets a lot of snow every year, I'd think about getting a different set of rims, so you can change 'em at the house for when you need 'em (maybe a chance to justify to the wifey a nice set of 18"s hehe)

ill be curious to see what you think of the M3s... i had a set on my old S13 & was pretty disapointed with them. wasnt terrible, but not the improvement id hoped for out of a dedicated winter tire. wore quick too, but id say im more to blame for that than the tires lol... stayed on them after winter was over & didnt exactly baby them

By all accounts I've heard the Dunlops are ok in actual snow, but fall far short of Blizzak LM's in wet, slushy & general winter conditions.
Glacier - if you get as little snow as yous mentioned you may want to consider an all-season tire. I went with Bridgestone RE 960's when the temps dropped here in Appallchian & Blue Ridge mountains and have zero regrets. Great performance in wet, dry, slush it even made the Z a fine driver in sleet & light ice conditions. Factor in the great treadlife and I can't imagine running anything else...until summer rolls around.
Jaye - what did you end up using to help you cope with the unpredictable Hoosier weather this winter?

ha, unpredictable is right! 50-60 degree indiana weather in january??? by all intents, its really still not got too bad so far this year, so im gonna keep holding off. i mean, yeah, i know the weathers comin, but i never had much of a problem with the S13 even without the M3s, so i want to test the waters... still got my general exclaims on at the moment...
