Snow tires on 16" rims for a G35X

I wanted to know if anyone has purchased snow tires and put them on 16 inch rims. I was talking to a rep at Tirerack and he recommended this setup over tires on 17 inch rims. The package I am looking at is either Michelin X-Ice's or the Blizzak WS50's (205/65 r16's) on a 16 inch alloy rim. It would run me about $800 with shipping for everything. Overall, it makes sense to use the 16 inch setup, especially for snow.

My biggest concern is will it interfear with the brakes and calipers?? The car is 2004 G35X.
