it's an rb20 with aftermarket turbo and a top-mount conversion with the stock manifold.

Nice!! I wanna know what numbers you're putting out on it.

I usually think of RB20's as a stupid choice.. but with an aftermarket turbo I can see some justification. Good job.

BoostFed looks bad ***, what turbo is that? What size FMIC you running? No aftermarket BOV? What type of fuel and engine management you running?

Inline 6 or Inline 4, Iron block or aluminum block, Sr is generally double the price of the RB, yes if you use mounts, then the motor goes up a little but not that much, yes you have to buy 2 more injectors and spark plugs than the SR, what the RB lacks in wieght, it makes up in torque.

Can't wait to see the numbers.

Looks really nice. That turbo fits so neatly in there.

what are you doing for engine management? considering you are recirculating the BOV, I am just curious if you are using piggy back or stand alone.

no dyno yet....(not until i get more fuel, 720cc injectors and proper tune).

the turbo is an t04e with .70ar vband on the exhaust side--it hit full boost (15psi) at 4500rpm. i enjoy walking over GT's....not enough to take the Cobras though.

lol....nothing to cheer and rave about, just the "crappy rb20"

All I wanna know is how well does that turbine cover keep the heat from the engine bay and into the turbo? I was really interested in one of those!

Looking good.

it's a "turbo blanket". let's say after a long drive--put your hand on it and won't get burn. dramatically lowers the temp in engine bay.......i recommend you guys to get one of these.

I just installed a .63ar t3/t4 in my rb20, did you have fuel problems with your t4?

At 15psi does your car lean out?

I am thinking if i need to buy a afc or bigger injectors?

How much faster is your car than stock?

You prob have maxed out the stock injectors. They are only 270cc. Bigger ones will be needed to make some good power with your new turbo.

Can you fit a t3/t4 with the stock manifold in the low position?

otherwise how did you use the stock manifold to make it that high?

i'm runny lean, i have 720cc on the way....and a better tune, i'm looking toward 400whp goal with this setup....run it until it break, because i have another rb25 long block sitting here waiting for boost

i made a top mount adapter....that's how the turbo sit with it on there. the stock mount location will fit a t04e just fine.

thanks! the 25 will spool it faster.

i will be getting rid of the upper stock L charge pipe along with the stock BOV....it's just too heatsoaked

Please give us some more detailed description of that adapter. I would like to do something similar. Could you take a picture or something of the actual adapter. I was going to make a adapter box anyway mine as well make a topmount. Was it too hard to fab up. I imagine you are running the wastegate off that flange. That looks like a sweet install. It will be good to see some dyno numbers.

Aren't 720cc injectors a bit too large for your power goals especially when you will be tossing the motor when it goes. I hear the hp numbers are equivalent to the size injectors you need. So for 400 hp you could get by with 450-550 injectors. That would be ample. What kind of kind of engine management are you running?
