I don't think it's power steering if it only does it while your turning...there is no way for power steering to get into your exhaust. If it is indeed coming out of your exhaust...have you made sure that it's not just coming from under your car? Your sure it's coming out of the exhaust?

Also, if the smoke is thick enough, can you tell what color it is? Like, white, black, or blue ish?

Did you check your power steering fluid reservoir? See if it's still full. I'm guessing you have a leak somewhere on your rack or your high pressure power steering hose. You really gotta look under it and see if you can find any leaks; if there is crap everywhere, wipe it clean and check again later. That will make it easier to spot.

Your power steering system is put under tons of pressure, hundreds of psi. That pressure increases the farther you turn the steering wheel. Leaks are a pretty common problem too.

Hope this helps man, keep us updated!

The piece that goes out towards the outside of the car (with the rubber boot on it), that is your tie rod...It connects to a metal column that goes across the middle of your car called the steering rack.

The only thing that could be leaking out of that is power steering fluid.

This wouldn't affect your cars performance, I think the hesitation issue is probably a totally separate problem. You might have a timing issue. I would invest in a timing light and check your ignition timing to make sure it is adjusted properly. The light is only $40 at AutoZone, and with this car you will be using it more than once most likely

Another thing to check is make sure you have the correct spark plugs. A lot of running issues are partially or fully remedied with the right plugs, because most people think you can throw any kind of spark plug in this engine. Well, you really can't...NGK designed a special plug for this car and if there is any other kind inside it, it tends to run like crap. Make sure you have NGK PRF6B-11 spark plugs

ok all i change my spark plugs myself and found out i was being ripped off the last time i had them done. so i want to thank you for that. i all so clean everything eletric under the hood and had a friend check my timing and change fuel filter. the car is running better. but if i slam on the gas she takes a long time to pick up speed and if i were to slowly give it gas she runs like she should

i haven't fix the smoking yet just waiting on friend to have a day of from work to help
