Think one of my instrument panel bulbs may be out as the SLIP indicator does not light up when the ignition is on. How do you check / replace these bulbs on the Q45?

You would have to remove the gauge cluster to check/replace the bulb if necessary. I just repaced my cluster and it only took about 20 min once you figure out what you have to remove to get to it (J30).

Is that bulb one of the "self test" items when you turn the key to the on position?

I think so. My understanding is that the TCS, ABS and SLIP lights should come on whenthe ignition is turned on and then go out when the engine fires up. The TCS and ABS lights come on andgo out but there is no sign of the SLIP light

Test the light by turning the TCS on and off. Ultimately I don't know if I would care if this light was bad, whoops, I just noticed where you live....yes I would want to know if my TCS quit if I lived in Buffalo...actually you oughta get some kind of award for sticking with a high performance rear wheel drive car in that climate in the winter!

yes I have tried turning the TCS light on and off and this works but the SLIP indicator bulb is a separate warning light and will not illuminate under any condition. I figure it must either be the bulb in the instrument cluster or some other problem with the TCS system. I have however run the diagnostic test as prescribed in the FSM and the LED in the trunk is not blinking which is supposed to inicate everything is ok with the system.

I tried to do a standing start on a curve in the hope that I would feel the TCS operate. Unfortunately I think the Limited Slip Diff worked and the car did not need to invoke the TCS.

Does anyone know of a way to test drive to differentiate between the LSD and TCS
