why not go 2 stage?? but anyways yeah wet sand it. I would start at 1000 grit then jump to 1500 then 1800. More work but i think better. We all have our ways. 2000 is an over kill. Just stop at 1800 and buy a rubbing compound to remove scratches from 1500-1800. Usally these are mild rubbing compound and just buy a swirl free glaze. I would recommen 3m or meguires. The professional series not the ones u see at wal mart. Also a good buffer will give you a greater job. Expect to spend 140-250.00 on one.

really good. The main good thing with single stage paints is the fact the they last against uv damage and chipping but the bad thing is gloss, depth/ shine that u wont get with a 2 stage. The only thing i wouldnt do is a single sage water bourne paint since they dont last a long time in the sun.
