Do it the way OEM intended it to be- Cut out the small triangular shaped piece on the driver's side of the heating/cooling unit, epoxy in the aspirator plug, attatch hose to it then plug hose into the cabin air temp sensor. Attatch the cabin air temp sensor to your radio bezel surround so it can access cabin air.

You think you'd be able to take a pic of where on the Air box you cut your triangle into for the Aspirator hose?

i got to cut out a blower harness and ill probably be trying to Y splice it together once I get some pix from a friend who has the whole harness. Looking at the wire diagram I think that's what we're missing =P

Here you go. Copied it directly from Beatupsx's thread:3. Ambient Temperature Sensor - (LG/Y +) - (LG -) - Same as above. (these wires are on the small white 7 pin plug)Hope that helps.

Hey Iiymij, did you ever get a chance to check out the wiring to fix the blowing speeds?

anyone know the resistance of the outside temp. sensor at say 50* F? then you you could just put a resistor at the DCC and not have to run wires to the front. I would just find the risistance of the sensor at your average outside temp and be done since it isn't all that importaint if you have the cabin temp sensor. so, anyone know it at 50*F?

After i tried splicing it i havent done anything yet, been busy at work and I got a chance to email Kevin to see which ignition wire it plugged the B/R to since he had the same problem and had to splice it somewhere else.

theres a black blue wire on the 7 ping, not sure but i might wanna try to splice that into the blower resistor sensor and splice the b/r there too but if i have time to and if this ****ty weather lets up. So right now waiting for kevin's reply =P

I installed my new havac motor with the shift linkage and swing arm now I'm having another problem. I used the diagnostic mode to test the motor and it cycles thru so it's good and I have it mounted in a good spot with room for the arm to move. The problem is that when I use the up/down arrows to cycle thru the hot/cold functions, the motor doesn't move...not one inch. Anyone know what could be the problem?

So it does move but only after it warms up? I haven't tried to get the blower to cycle thru the different speeds yet but it is working.

Yeah, I've been meaning to dig in and try to fix that but I've put it off. I need to figure out why this havac motor won't move in regular mode and I need to correctly mount the bi-level motor so that it doesn't lock up. How about you? What's your progress so far?

My only problem is the controling the speeds. Its just at full blast. As far as I know, my Havac Motor works fine. It goes through the different temperatures and I can hear it moving behind the dash. But I blew my motor, so I've been working on the swap lately, then the new engine had a blown head gasket after a couple of days of work running it, so I've mostly been busy with that.

that's swt hope you can get your full swap in, right now i'm wondering where the blue red wire from the 7 pin harness goes to, and the black and blue wire on this 7 pin wire.

if you need pix ill find time to get pix up asap

btw if you could, could you measure how long the swing arm should be for the linkage on the air mix motor?

iiymij,

Could you email me the photo ? btw, I need your help in getting me photos on the usdm connectors that showing all the harness. I also need the USDM bi-level connector ( brown ) showing the harness. I would like to make a comparison.

thanks

the blue/red harness from the 7pin is connecting to the blower motor plug.

Hey sorry i couldnt get pix here some from the last page

as for the brown connector where is it? ill take pix when it's not rainy here. I think i saw two brown plugs, theres one to the left inside the center console and one to the right of the glove box?

I think i tried tying the b/r wire to the blower motor plug and it didnt work for me.,

should i just try to strip some of the b/r wire from the OEM Motor plug and just add in the b/r from the 7 pin?
