The turbo system will replace the intake. If you get a roots type supercharger you can keep your after market intake you purchased. But the few bucks you spent on an intake are peanuts compared to the cost of forced induction.

The most you would be able to use from a cold air intake or short ram, is the filter. and even so, many turbo kits come with filters.

A turbo kit isn't really something you can just slap on there and go, There is alot tuning involved. you also have to take into consideration drive-ability, smog leagality, and the $$.

My thought is, if your willing to spend the thousands of dollars to turbo your z, your not going to mind having spent the 300$ on an intake system.

Go ahead and buy the intake, a few months down the road, you might reconsider turboing the z. after all, the z allready has enough power to get by.

We all dream of forced induction. It's just not always practical or affordable. You will also be spending more money on tires, brakes, and gas with the extra hp. Not to mention the cost of the install, a proper tune, and product itself.
