Ive found a set of side pipes that i wanna put on my truck for around 200 bucks, are there any problems i might run into with putting these on? http://www.summitracing.com/parts/PTE-H1060/?rtype=10

You may run into some clearance problems putting them on a 2wd but it can still be done... I've seen it done on a mustang where the pipes were looped back to the front to mount up to the side pipe inlets. With a 4 cyl engine that only has one outlet tho you'll either need to run a splitter or get a single inlet dual outlet muffler so both sides will be functional. They also sell those pre bent pipes that you can cut to fit then either clamp them up or have a shop weld them for you... unless you have a welder which would be the best way to do it.
All the good performance muffler brands make a single inlet dual outlet version of their mufflers so you can pretty much pick and choose for the sound you want or you can just run a glass pack then add a splitter to send the exhaust to the pipe inlets.

Either way, if you do a total DIY to get them to fit and work it'll take some work to do or expect to pay a shop a few bills and they can fit it up for you.

Haha good one woodbutcher, and ah i see, i knew i needed a splitter, but wasnt sure if there were gonna be any major complications with it. What i think ill do is take my existing glass pack, move it to the front and use a splitter to connect both pipes. Thanks for the help, ill keep you guys posted on my progress. still got to get new brakes yet lol

Ugh... same here... mine came to a rumbling stop the other day but luckily I was close to home so it didn't toast my rotors too badly... I hope. :ohno:

Ya no kidding! Thatd be some scary s*** right there, then you'll prolly end up totaling your truck depending on the circumstances, and thats not something i wanna do. And at least you were close to home when that happened davezilla, hope you didnt do much damage to them rotors.
