Hello,

I just picked out a '06 G35 Sport Coupe Base model. Its in immaculate condition with only 41k.

I have to drop off the auto draft check from my credit union in a couple days to seal the deal.

I currently have the car with the dealer plate still on it. I'm putting in a K & N air filter, but not looking to do any engine mods right now as I included a 3 year Infiniti warranty in my purchase price.

My question is are there any factory upgrades that would be worth getting installed and added into my total loan amount.

I don't really care about getting the bigger 19" wheels but I'm open anyone's suggestions.

Thanks!!!

Not really any factory-style options unless you look at dealer installed NISMO parts.

Congrats on your purchase and welcome to NICO.

Thanks for the advice! I've been doing my homework reading the forums but I didn't want to miss out on a opportunity.

I really wanted a G37 (your's has to tear it up!) but the G35 was the first car I test drove out of college (2003). I had to pay my way through school and financially it just didn't make sense at the time. Fast forward 10 years and I finally found an awesome example of the coupe. I work from home so I should be able to keep the miles really low (put 4200 on my other car chauffeuring my kids around last year). Hoping this will help out with my trade in for a G37 further down the road. For now, I'm just enjoying driving my dream car.

The G's seem to take a dive in depreciation the first few years and then stabilize quite nicely. The Maxima's do that as well, or at least they did. The '06 is pretty solid and I'm sure you will get plenty of fun times out of it. From a mod perspective you can add basic bolt-on's without having any warranty issue unless the part you installed caused it. They can't void a warranty simply because you used aftermarket replacements.

Very good to know! I'm hoping these are my first few steps of a long and fun journey.

Hope so. I've enjoyed mine. I'm waiting to see what the new Q60 will look like as I figure I'll get something new in 2014 or 2015 depending on mileage.
