Should I repaint?

I have a scratch on my 04 (keyed). It's Pearl White. The only way to remove the scratch is to repaint the whole hood. Should I go ahead and repaint it with the remote possiblity that the paint won't exactly match or am I better off just living with it? Also, if I do decide to paint, should I get it pained at the dealer or should I let one of the local (high quality) shops handle it?

A good shop should be able to match it close enough that you won't be able to tell a difference. If the cut isn't too deep they can wet sand it and buff it and possibly take it out, but since you say it was keyed it's probably too deep.

I've already checked with three places and they all say it's too deep. I'm pretty confident that a good shop will take it out, I'm just not sure if the dealer would be better...or worse. Money is not an issue because I'm very rich. just kidding, my insurance will cover it ($0 deductable)

I'd probably take it too a well known, high quality, paint shop.
