I know this is a process that has been succefull on quite a lot of engine but I do now any place where they would be able to do it. It's for a set of CA18DET Conrod, I would like them to be shot peened and fit with ARP bolt. The engien should make about 450hp, if a bit lucky.

Since I am from canada their is not many good machin shop.

Thanks for your help, btw if you know a process for piston. Post the info in the same topics.

Thanks a lot guy'sFrancois

for 450hp, you might consider some custom rods. I'm not saying the stock conrods wouldn't do 450hp, but you're really pushing them and I don't know that they'd last long at that kind of power level.

As for the pistons, you HAVE to get forged pistons as the stock, cast pistons won't even think about taking that kind of abuse. You can get them here for a fair price;http://www.raceeng.com

CA rods are shot peened at standard, you only need to get them re-done if you've ground/polished the surface to remove stress risers

for anything over 400bhp you definitely want forged rods IMO

Just look up "shot penist" in the yellow pages. It should be in the genital injury section.
