I’m not sure a shock tower brace for the front was avail on a 95, I can’t remember. I thought the A’s or the T’s had it. I’ve only seen a few 95’s at the junkyards, Phoenix had the most, but most were hit in the front, everything was gone. Does anyone make them or will another year fit?

They never came from the factory with them. A member on here named Jeff Williams made them by modifying one made for a different Nissan (maybe Maxima?), but he's been gone for a while.

Anything from a 90 to 96 will fit. However, they were never an option.

Most of us used the Williams design, some of us modified our own. front-strut-tower-brace-for-1990-to-199 ... 26115.html

I thought so. In fact, I think mine was a modified Z32 unit (or Stillen's G50 unit).

No luck finding one, anyone know of any of these at a salvage yard or anything, get ahold of me. I remember a lot of Q45’s in Phoenix salvage yards, but all I’ve seen were hit hard in the front, most everything was gone.

You will never find one in a junk yard as it wasn't a factory option until 2nd Gen 97' Touring included it stock. William's was based I think off Z32 but would have to be custom. I got a Custco for my Z31 where this is a little more aftermarket support than any Q version sadly.

Hi Burd,
Here are a few comments about this strut bar obsession.
1. I have a stillen bar, I found it used at a good price so I put it on. Honestly, I don't feel a lot of difference.
2. If you just have to have it, Find and aftermarket for a late 90's Maxima and modify it.
3. If you want to crisp up your handling, I would be looking elsewhere. Example:
a. Tokiko Blue struts. How are your top hats? good luck finding new ones.
b. urethane control arm bushings
c. Rear sway bar off Q45A (wes has a write up). Add urethane sway bar bushings and end link bushings.
d. if you change the steering rack, a Z32 poly bushing will work.

4. the F50 had a strut bar, but its a fundamentally a different car than the G50.

Good luck. You won't find a stillen bar in a wrecking yard. I've used row52 alerts for q45 and when a new one shows up I head over to the Pick n Pull. Never found a strut bar in 7 years.

Yes, there’s none of these cars here on the road, let alone the salvage yards.
I noticed something the other day, the light in the roof is sticky, the plastic is getting gooey.
Finding one is prob going to be hard.

Pull the sticky light and clean it with rubbing alcohol. It has a velvety coating that eventually does that, but the plastic under it is the same color and looks fine after removing it. super-sticky-dome-light-g50-t312018.html

I will try that thanks. So what got sticky, the matte spray that was applied at the factory?

I think so. There are a lot of things with this finish that eventually degrade into a sticky mess.

I have experienced the stickiness on 2 prior Q45's... honestly I want to go touch the dome light on my 90 now but it will be a few days....

As far as the stillen strut brace. I have two. One has been installed on the 90. Looks great. The other one looks a bit beat up cosmetically... the red "stillen" lettering is worn and it just has surface wear all over.. anyone have any experience rehabbing these?

Pfft. I know you will. I think the only way I would sell it is with the entire car.

I noticed detailing the wheels, the rubber cover inside the strut is falling apart.
