shipping disaster

So about a month ago my 200k 89 240 broke down and I needed a new engine, so I went thru a long debate of whether to go SR or rebuilt ka for KA-t. I decided to stick with the KA24e so i odered one from what seemed to be a reputable company. the 3 day delivery soon turned into a 2 week delivery because apperently the shipping company "lost track of" the engine. In this time I had some regrets and thought that I should have gone SR. Finally they find my engine and it gets delivered to the wrong shipping center because they focked up my zip code, but at this point i really wanted my engine so I went ahead and drove the 2 hours to pick it up. upon returning from my 2+ hour drive to pick up my engine I open it and find that it had been dropped or something and there was a big friggin crack in the side of the block(some semi-protuding piece on the front intake side corner ) And I dont mean a crack where you see a line, I'm talkin a few cm wide. I called the shipping place and their gonna send someone out to look at it and see if I can get some money back but it still sucks and I still dont have an engine. I miss my 240. I dunno what will happen with the cracked engine but if they give me money and dont bother to take it back I might be around here tryin to sell the head or at least a cam. and maybe now I have a second chance to get an SR..... Sorry for the long boring post just thought I'd vent by sharing my ****ty storyhell maybe somebody here is a welding beast and wants to buy the longblock because the crack is in a strange place i dont even know what it is

dont worry the shipping co. is responsible i recently ordered a bodykit and recieved it only loosly wrapped in bubble wrap.upon inspection i noted that all 5 pieces were broken and unrepairable,they sent someone to my house to take pictures,and it was 2 monthes but i got a full refund!so dont worry i think you will probly get e refund too!

Atleast you are in a better boat then I am. I payed for my RB25 over nine months ago and haven't gotten anything. Make me wish I would have turboed my KA. That little add on the right side of the page that is blue and says nightsevenracing.....That's the aas hole who took my money.

I don't wanna order a sr for the sole role of people having to wait what seems to be eternity to get their engines. I got my rebuilt ka in like 2 days. Ordered on a saturday, came on monday.

You should just pick up a local engine cheap and rebuild it. Im sure SOMEBODY has a SOHC KA somewhat locally.

Small businesses used to care about their company, products and customers. What happened?

PS: I switched from an EE major to Biz Admin major in the hopes of owning my own business. Hopefully aquire a CNC setup, welders, etc and a few of my friends are really into it as well. We all wanna make custom products for cars (especially the 240 and 86). Its just dreams now, but I am a very logical person and I believe this will definitely help me achive my goals. At the very least I know to start small and not get in too over my head (aka Dauntless). Maybe one day I will actually be taking orders from some of you guys =)
