Just as the title said. 90 2+2 auto...I cant get the shifter out of park...Im thinking it may be a fuse since the "light" warning is on but there is no kicl panel. All lights work though & it shifted fine a few days ago. Went to move it so the plow could come through & it said "Nah I like this spot." any ideas?

most auto's have a release hole near the shifter where you can stick a key to disengage the saftey lock (sorry not sure if the Z32 has this for sure but most cars of this vintage do)

most likely the issue is int he ignition switch of the release cable

There is a kick panel, it's just hard to get to. Also, I'd check your "Shift Lock" fuse in the engine bay. If that's not it, the brake switch may not be releasing the pushbutton. That's pretty much all I can think of.

Any info on the location of the shift lock release, what are u saying about the kickpanel? I don't see anything under the brake pedal & the carpet is already out

Past the dead pedal on the left there is a small fuse box, slide the cover up and it'll pop off. I don't know if there are any AT fuses in there, but that's the fuse box in the kick panel.

The brake switches are above the brake pedal, shown here:

Pennies, dimes, ect... are small enough to slide between the shifter trim and the sliding plastic on the base of the shifter and then fall off into the interior panels. Yours must have fallen just right as to cause your shifter to stick.
