the motor mounts and transmission mount more than likely are worn out. the transmission mount doesnt exactly dampen the side to side rocking of the motor/transmission, it just supports the assembly. the motor mounts are what prevents the side to side rocking.

id say bad motor mounts.

Having your car idle and run at no less than 3000rpms is brutal.Try fiddling with your idle.

I'm experiencing the same thing. Besides the alignment being really off thats the only thing that makes the car feel like a pos! When I'm idle'ing and I tap the throttle and let go I can see the shifter vibrating with the engine.

I had the same problem in my S2000, it turned out to be that the timing was off.

Actually, the shifter bobble is normal because of our direct linkage system. Most cars nowadays are using a cable linkage rather than a direct linkage due to the consumer demand of decrease NVH. Many purists consider the direct linkage to be superior (although at the expense of NVH) due to the fact that u cannot "bind" a direct linkage system when shifting hard and fast. Trust me.....the wobble is normal. When I bought my car back in 1998, it was shipped from Japan with less than 3kms on it and the thing wobbled. Hope this makes sense!
