Actually, the shifter bobble is normal because of our direct linkage system. Most cars nowadays are using a cable linkage rather than a direct linkage due to the consumer demand of decrease NVH. Many purists consider the direct linkage to be superior (although at the expense of NVH) due to the fact that u cannot "bind" a direct linkage system when shifting hard and fast. Trust me.....the wobble is normal. When I bought my car back in 1998, it was shipped from Japan with less than 3kms on it and the thing wobbled. Hope this makes sense!
