Shift Lock Issue...Am I The Only One??

I have a 2007 2.0 B16. I looked and looked online and no one has this issue. I usually pull up the emergency brake when I park. When I get back in my car and pull down the emergency brake then take it it out of park it gets stuck and the only way I can switch to another gear is by pressing the little emergency shift lock button.....WTF MANNN!!!!!!!!!

Is your car modified?

One of my customers had that as a problem with a wire from he Double Din radio. The wire was routed near the shifter. A year later, it was in the shifter, and cuased a bit of problems.

No my B16 is still stock no customs. But it happens when it gets really cold out. Should this be happenin??

I have not taken a good look at the shift lock mechanism on our cars, i guess im gonna pull up my shifter and see what it could be.

Maybe just a lube? idk...
