Hey guys. I currently have Tokico HP Blues on my 2002 Maxima and recently purchased Koni Yellows from Tirerack. Thing is. The front shocks does not come with a base to rest the front springs on and Tirerack said I need to remove the gas tube from my Tokicos and insert the Konis in there in order to have a base for the Konis. Is this possible? Has anyone done such thing before? Also, I live in the Maryland area if anyone want to recommend a mechanic that does such job. PLEASE GUY. I REALLY NEED YOUR HELP.

I believe that Koni has the instruction on their website. You will probably have trouble finding a place to do it for you, since most shops like just replacing parts and not having to cut them up etc.
