You'll have to take the driveshaft out completely and split it, u-joints are bolted onto the driveshaft. So split your driveshaft, pull off the joint in front of the carrier bearing, slide the bearing off and slide your new one on. might be stuck, don't be overly aggressive and make sure you tape/cover the yoke so you don't ding it up which can tear up your tail seal and you'll be pissing out transmission fluid.
