hey all..... does any one have the correct fix for the bad wiring harness in the 2000 to2004 sentras ,,,? dealers of course say must replace the entire under hood harness this must be crap someone must have traced the particuler wire that causes the prob and can help me .....any ideas???

Which wiring harness is bad and how did you figure out that it is the wiring harness? Does any other function of the horn work? for example, the panic button on your remote or when you lock the car with it?

Broken wires are typically found in the harness along the lower rad support. You have to get the wiring diagram for your model/year and find the horn wire, then check for continuity until you locate the break.

thanks for the reply no i have no horn functions when we researched this car before buying we saw 6 out of ten problems involved the horn and wiring at the radiator support dealer only offers replacement but have heard that fails also may have to strip the harness and trace fault just thought someone may tell me exactly where and what color to look for

Each model Sentra uses a different harness. Each year may be different too. If you get a wiring diagram for your model/year you can find what color the wire is, you still have to find where it is broken. They break anywhere along that rad support.

I've had horn prob since I bought my '01 Sentra in Jan. '04.Dealer paid $130.00 to fix lasted about 6 mo. My nephew fixed again 2 yr ago, now not working again.gonna try again as soon as this crappy Indiana weather gets better.Lets hear it for crappy Sentra wiring Gibbs me Jethro
