Booooo~ y u gotta hate on DOs? :P I am a 3rd yr osteopathic med student I was accepted to VCU med school too but it's too far plus I'm too fobby (I came from other country at 12) for Richmond, VA. You're absolute right about the curriculum, it is somewhat "easier" in med school comaring to Engineering courses; I graduated from UCSD w/ bioeng degree and decided to go w/ medicine because I just love interacting w/ patients. And yea the criteria and scores of osteopathic schools may not be up to par against allopathic schools, but dude seriously? It's quite ignorant to really think low of DO schools and Carribean schools, btw St. Georges and Ross are really good schools and you'll be surprised how many practicing docs in Cali are from there. I don't blame you tho, because unless you really talk to and get treated by some DOs, you may always think of them as the "other" doctors.
Edit: BTW we had a graduate this year from Midwestern University going to Harvard Anesthesia residency, but of course he scored a 98 percentile on USMLE.
