I can measure a crank if that helps, what body are you wanting to put it in?

thank you very much. i found out that without a/c i can eliminate the condenser and it will just barely fit my truck. but it does fit if it's under 32 inches(gives me room for play). i can move my radiator up 3 inches to where the condenser was.so the body is a 82 720 truck. i have an engine waiting on me but i didn't want to get it unless i was sure it would work. it's coming out of my friend's 240z because we are putting in an rb30 block with rb26 heads. he wants new power, i want that monster L series to build

lol, a 730 with an L6, I'd be suprised if your was the first, but honestly the L24 isn't the one you want, you want the L28

you might be able to bore the cylinders but your not gotta be able to increase the stroke without a crankshaft, of you pick up an L28 for $100 and you have the larger bore and stroke to start with, less than machingin the L24, and there is no replacment for displacement, form the L24 you'd be lucky to get 20whp and thats a stretch, the L28 some high end builds have seen 300 whp!

scratch the swap. it may happen later but i have something else for that l24 to go in. i'm getting a 240z in pristene condition. no rust with new interior panels. a 4spd and a bad engine.
