SE Tailgate

I originally had the actual trim from an SE tailgate except it never seated right on my truck. Since my truck lacked the mounting holes to properly install the trim it never sat correctly when I used 3M tape. I decided to remove the piece a couple months ago. Of course I liked the extra sportiness that trim gave the truck so I decided to paint the tailgate in an SE style and used OEM charcoal NISSAN lettering to give it a complete look.

From beginning to end:



Took about 5 hours to finish. I waited till morning to install the lettering. I think it looks better than the OEM metal trim piece.

I like it. But I wouldn't have put the SE on the bottom right. Just because it's not. I would have just left it blank and let people guess...lol

LOL yeah mine has no xe or se logos, had to ask you guys which one I had LOL appears mine is chromed out XE.

Well it may not have started out as an SE but it is one now based on the sales brochure from 95. If I change my mind I have a heat gun to help remove the SE tag.

Could do that. Get an LEV6 badge from a P-finder and an SE badge.

I like how it looks that was just my personal opinion. I like to make people wonder. I did that with my bike also. I painted it and didn't put any decals back on it just Yamaha. That way people wonder is that a 600 or a 1000 or what ;-)

The more I think about it the less I like the SE badge. Guess you have to try something to find out if you like it or not.

I liked it more just plain green. But if you wanted the black, that definitely looks better than the OEM metal.
