no salvage is not bad at all....

i sell many cars... once a buyer purchases a car from you and gets it inspected

title renews as a Rebuilt/Salvage Title

which is just as good as a Clean Title...

yes you will have the buyer ask too many questions about the history of the car this way... but theres nothing wrong with it..

Financing (?) perhaps, depends on the lending institution. (credit unions can be real touchy in this area) Otherwise "imxomar" is right, most, if not all states, will issue the new owner with a blemish-free title after a vehicle inspection, however, official state inspections only cover the surface of basic systems of a vehicle. That is, the brakes stop and the steering steers(the vehicle).....Ta-Da! .....your vehicle passed. How well it performs these duties(as well as others)remains an unknown. So, if you don't posess the expertise or equipment to pull a thorough inspection on the vehicle, go to the pro's .(an established, consionous garage/service group) A good inspection will find something,(on any car)that will pay for itself through lessening the purshase price or allowing you to walk away before you commit to a "money pit" project. Good luck.

as stated but I just want to stress some banks will not finance you due to the fact that it was a total lost at one point.

I would not do it because retail value sucks down the road.

but if you are going to make sure it's at least 25% off what it would of been if it was a clean title.

no disrespect but, rebuilt/selvage/thief titles are not anywhere close to a Clean title, now a days run a car fax before you buy any used car, history of the car makes the car (if it has a tendency to fuc** up on the past couple of owners then chances are it will do the same to you).

Hi
How do you convert a salvage car title to a clean title?I recently purchased a car with a NC salvage title and my insurance company won't insure it for anything more than liability coverage. I spoke to an adjustor for the insurance company and he told me that if I can find a way to get a clean title they will fully insure the car. Even if it comes up in the VIN history report that it formerly had a total loss claim, they will still fully insure the car. The process has been done in the past to defraud people into buying a car that's not worth as much but I'm just trying to work this out so I can insure my car with full coverage.

Once branded salvage or totaled, the title remains as such. There are illegal ways to convert a branded title but no legal way.Once the brand is on the vehicle that it was salvaged it will remain on the vehicle forever. But if you mean converting from a salvage title to a salvage rebuilt title which looks like a "clean title" but still has the brand on it that is different. You will require to submit a rebuilt affidavit completed by the owner and the person who have made the repairs.
