So I think I need to sell my Z.

We're moving from Houston to Denver, and I feel like neither the Z or the Vespa will make good daily drivers in the winter there, so I'll probably sell the Z to save on moving costs. Feel free to come console me or try to talk me out of it.

sell the vespa, hire a mover, load up the Z, drive it to denver, then buy a winter beater, the Z would be amaZing to drive around in the rockies in the spring/summer/fall!!!!!!

Here's the thing, we're probably already going to pay someone to move the girlfriend's car, since we have to somehow get 3 cats there with us and I would rather sedate them and make a 3-hour flight than a 17-hour drive. It's also going to be middle of December when we move, and I'm afraid I'm going to be all over the road in something that light, not having driven RWD in snow before.

Basically I don't think I'll ever have time to restore this car myself, and it'll be a long time before I can justify paying someone else to do it. I'd rather it be in the hands of someone that's actually good with cars than hang around and rot in my garage for 10 years.

If anyone knows somebody in Houston that can take good care of a 1980 S130, let me know.

Ok, so the real question now is how much can I get for her? 1980 S130, bad paint job but less than 58,000 miles, everything original except the clutch and gas tank. Interior is good except the carpeting in the back and the headliner starting to fall, cruise control switch is missing. Stupid kid before me put a CD player in the glovebox. Is 4K way too much to ask? I was going to go the craigslist route, so I'm anticipating getting offers for half as much as the asking price.

Also, if I took it with me, what kind of modifications, if any, am I looking at because of the altitude change?

I'm waiting for a quote from A to Z auto movers. The guy from the moving company we're using for the house basically told us it's not worth it to have them ship it. If it's $1000 or less I'll probably keep it.

Well it looks like it's only going to cost me about $700 to take it, so I guess the Z gets to come along. That quote is from A to Z auto movers, anyone heard anything good/bad about them, or have another company they'd like to recommend?

I have heard nothing but good things about A to Z but there are always horror stories to go with any kind of service or product. A friend of mine just had a car moved by them and was pleased.
