S15 Rear End Conversion

is there such a thing as an s15 rear end conversion for the s14? i like the rear end on the s15 so i was woundering if anybody makes like a kit to do it?

As far as I know something like that is impossible. Both the S14 and S15 have unibody rear ends. It's not like the front end conversion where you can just replace the fenders, hood, etc. The only thing you could do is something with the tail lights housings, but that would be ricey. Personally, I'm against (and disgusted by) doing things to make your car represent something it's not, but to each his own.

yea well i like the s15 but unfortunately its not availible here i think i found some 240 lights i like better anyways no they arnt altezza's or anything hehe

It's actually being done in the next couple of months by a friend in VA(I Think). I sold a Widebody kit for the S15, and he is going to use the rear quarter panels to do the rear end conversion. I will post a picture of the rear quater panels when I get home. To each his own.

whats wrong with the s15 how is it a ricer? man i aint lieing all you guys do is bash on this board about every idea someone wants to do thats all you guys do someone asks a question and you bash them almost every time prolly 8 times out of 10 i mean **** all i asked was a question i didnt ask for your bull**** and what did i just say i said nevermind i found some s14 tails that i like they look alot like the stock ones

once again I WAS JUST ASKING i still dont understand whats wrong with the s15 the only reason for converting it here is because there is no possible way to get the real s15 and have it legal and i think im gonna get the jdm s14 tails but honestly who cares what you guys say like people have said before its my car ill do what i wish to it and it doesnt matter if you guys like it or not so stop you do what you want to your car ill do everythign i want to myne this same **** happend on the altezza crap im with you guys i hate the altezza tails but **** its his car leave him alone he didnt ask you guys to bash him he asked a simple question do you guys know anyone that makes them and you guys bashed him for 5 pages

and you know who is good abotu answering questions is the RB forum i rarely get b.s from them but i step into any otehr forum adn thats all they do is shoot down everythign i say thats the only forum where i feel like if i ask a question im actually gonna get a resonable answer

Maybe if you asked reasonable questions...I guess the days where the people who modified, and owned modified cars were the most knowledgeble people are over. The fact that you own a s14, and ask about body conversion and RB motor swaps like you can afford to do them, while you dont know something as basic as the fact that your car is a unibody, and that the 1/4 panels are welded to the frame, and are there to support the structure does not compute with me.I guess i am from the old school, where people learned the basics about automobiles, before they modified them. I guess at 21, i am too old fashion!

If you count, there are more posts complaining of the bashing than posts of actual bashing. And for the record, I was only voicing my opinion on the matter, hence the "to each his own" closing on my post. Also, I nor anyone else said that the S15 itself was "ricey", I think the ricing comments stem from the idea of making the S14 into something it's not (the S14 is not an S15). But you ahve to remember that not everyone will have the same ideas and opinions as you. And lashing out because you can't take some critisism is just as bad as bashing someone. Personally I'm not a fan of the front end conversion either. I would never even think about changing my 95 front to a 97-98 front, but that's me. If I came off as a jerk, I sincerly apologize.

and once iagain i say im going to use s14 tails i was just asking you know if i could get an s15 here i would but its just not possible

and sandman thats exactly what i said when i first started posting here and there arnt more posts complaining about bashing go look at the altezza thread thats the most bashing ive seen so far

If you think this forum is bad, take a visit to Freshalloy, it will make you sick. The people there have their own cliques and ****, the arrogance runs very high over there, but the information and resources over there is second to none. I frequent these forums more because it's more relaxed, so what if people voice their opinion..it's a public forum, it's up to the individual to take things as constructive critisism or as insults. Not everything can be the way you want it, it's really up to you to decide if you want to make the best of it or type up 2 or 3 posts in a row to vent your frustration, believe me, I know how you feel, but alot of times, I'll type out a long post, and just not post it because what's the point? People will never change.

And dude, calm down, I read both of your posts about you finding JDM S14 tails prior to typing up my last post, my last post had nothing to do with that, it was entirely about how people voice their opinions. And seriously, if you found S15 tail lights and wanted to graft them onto your car, I can't stop you, it's your car, I can tell you that I personally don't like it, but it's your car, not mine and they're just words dude. Let me ask you a question...would you rather everyone in this forum just agree with each other on everything? It's the difference of opinions and negative comments that lead to progression. I would rather hear negative comments about my website and my business than have people just tell me how nice or great it is because only then can I know what I'm doing wrong. It's a different situation, but it's the same principle and point that I'm trying to illustrate.

Actually it has been done in japan before. I have an options video that has an s14 with an s15 rear end and an s13 front end on it.

Okay it is totally possible you'll start to see it when my friend is done with it. But Either way the rear will be fiberglass because the widebody panels come in FiberGlass. Altough the fiberglass would not be that fragile, I would be hella scared if I was driving my car and some idot smashed it....

It's not like you can push the dent out again, you would have to fix the cracked panel.

I've been waiting for someone to do this. It's about the farthest thing from rice that I've ever heard. If you were putting MKIV Supra tails on it, sure, but not S15 tails. Can't wait to see pics!

i was think of doing this to my S13 a while back to my fisrt one anyway one of the problems where that i couldn't find anyone who sold the tails and second i couldn't find a shop to do it. It's not a ricey idea at all. it's unique and it tells other ppl that you have your onw still and follow your owns rules when it come to customizing your car. fuc evryone else who says it's a dumb idea. it's your car do what you want.

another customer of the shop that did my SR swap is doing something similar.. I knew he was gonna do the front end conversion, but I just learned that he found a way to do the tails.. the story i got was that he got a japanese junkyard to cut out the rear quaterpanels, he is gonna get a shop to weld and mold.. should be interesting to see.

Honestly, if you're going to do it... do it the right way, the first time, and do it complete. It's going to cost a lot, but in the end, it'll be sooooooooo worth it. Do the front end, S15 SR20DET, 6speed transmission... I'd even do the emblems too. Make the only LHD S15 Silvia ever. That would be awesome man. Find a good, reputable body shop that can build a rear end for you to match up with an S15 rear end.

Man, I drool even thinking about it.

actually im converting my car to RHD so that i can drop in the RB26DETT nice and easy hehe after that im gonna beef up the drivetrain and i want to do an s15 fornt end conversion and i found some 240sx tails i like that uses 2 bulbs instead of one they look sweet
