I've searched forum for specific information on how to install a T28 on a CA and what all needed to be done to make it happen and came up with some questions based on problems other people have encounter. Here they are:What's the deal with the oil return line not reaching the turbo? Will an SR hard line work instead of the CA line? (if it doesn't reach indeed) Will the stock CA elbow work with the T28? Or should I just buy an SR turbo elbow along with a down pipe? I also read somewhere here that people had problems with the turbo elbow hitting the steering column (or something around there). Is this fact or fiction?

Anyhow, my turbo won't arrive for another week and that is why am asking now, so I can be prepared with all the required items. I'll be installing a FMIC the same day, so any information hat would make this day shorter in terms of elbow greasing, I will appreciate it so much!

later!

You will need Stainless steel lines provided here http://www.frsport.com/FR-Earl....html Then yes you will need a SR turbo elbow and a SR down pipe. You will also need the S14 turbo inlet and outlet pipe. Thats about it. Also I think you need to clock the compresser housing 10 degrees or so to make it fit.

Ya make sure you get some nice braided lines. Bings.ca also sells genuine takas. Another thing, did your turbo come with the inlet? If not, your going to need to get it.

ohhhh one more thing! I need this:

The s14 T28's dont have a boost tap source like our mighty stock ca turbo's, so you are going to need that. Tap it like is shown in the picture, then from that run a rubber line to your wastegate.

I just used a torch and carefully bent my stock lines to fit the new turbo. Cost me $0. You can also just drill and tap the blank spot on the compressor housing and screw in the stock ca nipple into it. Makes for a much cleaner setup.

I swaped out turbos on a previous S13 I had with SR20 in it and don't remember having to get the outlet pipe from an S14. I'm pretty sure I used the stock SR20 one. On the inlet, I do remember havinng to modify the SR pipe to fit.

Thanks for all the information guys. I think this is not a stratight up "bolt on" like many claim, you actually need to buy some parts to make it work. damn!!

You don't actually have to buy anything except the compressor inlet flange, which is something like $9. It pretty much is a direct bolt on.

that's the probelm, I'm not cheap! I will always want to buy the right parts, I just searched on ebay to see what I'd come up with and this was it. I will definetely try to find the outlet from a T25 or t28, but finding them is a biatch! If you have one sell it to me.
