s14 KA24de into a fox mustang????!!!!??

V8 240sx? Sure! If either the chassis OR the engine is non-Nissan (i.e. SR20 in an RX-7 or LS1 in a 240sx), we've done it.

lol this thread makes me laugh. Good for you. That looks like the cleanest 80's mustang I've seen. Most are usually owned by people that stand on street corners and mix chemicals in their garages, but I'm glad you don't lol. I wouldn't worry about a CEL.

All you need to do is measure (use string) from the trans tail shaft center to the center of the diff. Then tell either shaftmasters or thedriveshaftshop.com what your doing and they can make you one. This is what I did, and the price is good. Shaftmasters is our vendor here.

i wondered what happened to this thread, that ka looks like it should have come from the factory sitting in that car. does the exhaust manifold hit the steering shaft?

the moderator moved it cause it wasnt a 240 but yup :) it clears the steering and all im actually getting a 240 column and putting that in for the turn signals, wiper and ignition switch. the only thing that hits is the exhaust manifold right at the end it hits the body so ill have to cut it and reweld it down a quarter of an inch but yea im excited and it really does look stock. it puts a smile on my face everytime i see it :)

Ok so I've been looking at the car recently and I've just realized the engine is a front sump so I either have to buy or make a rear sump oil pan and pickup tube or re-make my trans mount and cut my trans tunnel and pull the trans up a bit to get it to fit Idk what I should do any suggestions

so i modified my s14 steering column to work wiht the mustangs steering rack
Image
^does anyone know that the cable is that comes out of the ignition switch
Image
^that bracket was making the column sit it too close to the glass so i cut it a bit
Image
^this is the 240 universal joint with the mustang bracket that bolts to the rack it all came out nicely :)
