I recived my brace yesterday and installed it today. I also own the Nismo power brace and was going to try and compare the two but after seeing them side by side there are differences in the design that make that impossible. Jonnies brace is a little more heavy duty than the nismo brace and his cross bar is a little thicker. The welds on Jonnies brace are really nice and far superior to anything Nismo. It comes down to Bolts vs welds ... and thats up to you.
My install took all the material mentioned plus a rubber malet and a C clamp to get it done. time from lifting the car to backing it out was about 45 minutes. The brace is a tight fit and when the the front of the car was in the air i had zero room next to the sway bar. once the car was back on the ground i have about a 3 inch space between the brace and the sway bar. I don't think an aftermarket sway bar will be an issue sor the S13 brace.
I installed it on my daily s13 which is stock except for drop springs. I didnt have a chace to drive it much today because it was raining pretty bad. I am not sure if I noticed better handling or if i was just willing to drive more spirited because it was there. I will give a good go at it tomorrow (weather permiting) and give an update on that aspect.
If I had to do it again I would. The price was right for my budget and to me it is a nice alternative to the Nismo Brace or any other aftermarket tension rod brace for that matter.
