Its been a while since I've been here so welcome back me... Again!

I searched for this topic and nothing came up so I'll ask.

I found that my steering wheel in my Versa S seems to rub off easily. Its not leather like in the SL. This is not a recent development, it has just gotten out of hand. I did purchase a wheel cover to hide the fact that is horrible, but it is a huge annoyance for me.

Has this happened to anyone else?

I'm currently at work, but anyone needs to see pictures, I'll take and upload some when I get home later tonight.

Pictures would be a help. How many mile are on your versa and do you use any types of lotions?

If you are still under you 36000 mile bumper to bumper warranty it should be covered by your warranty, however if you use and type of lotion on your hands that contain acid you might be footing the bill for a new steering wheel.

When this started happening, was toward the end of last year. I'm outside of the bumper to bumper warrenty.

And yes, I use lotion from time to time... I get ashy! lol.

I dont mind too much for coughing up the cash, I should have taken care of it when it first occured. So that is my fault.

I was thinking about just upgrading to the leather wheel in the SL, and just having that installed. Good or bad idea?

the price for a new leather wheel is $487.87 buynissanparts.com has it for $376.52 . so that might be your best bet versus going to the dealer and paying full price.

the new S wheel cost the same as the leather one so your choice.

Leather it is.

Its hard to do much internet wise on these work computers, so thanks for finding that for me.

And as far as Sparco, probably not. Trying to keep it as stock as possible. Thanks though.
