Drivers's Door Automatically Locking

So, for the 2nd time, on a very cold morning, I have had a bizarre problem with the drivers door on my Rogue. I opened the door, got in, and closed it. The dashboard display showed the drivers door was still open. I opened it and closed it again. Display still showed it as open. Did the same for a third time, and when I closed the door, it completely locked. It couldn't be opened from the inside or outside (my husband was on the outside). I had to climb over the center console to get out of the car.

The first time this happened, I took it to my Nissan dealership and they couldn't find anything and they were able to open the door just fine (it was about an hour later). Called again today and they want me to bring it in, but again said, if they can't recreate it, they don't know what is causing it.

Anyone else have the door lock itself and not able to open it at all? Again, it's only in cold weather when the display says the door is open.

That is a weird issue you're having.

Are you able to replicate the problem after the car has warmed up after driving it?
The only way the dealer might be able to see the problem is if they have the car overnight and follow your path on another cold day.

No, once the car has warned up, above 15°, it works fine. I agree that I may need to leave it overnight at the dealer to see if they can figure tour. Personally, I think it hasty do with moisture getting in and causing a problem.
