I'll have a guess at a boost leak, possible from a dump valve

Would this cause it to backfire in anyway? Reason I ask is because im not running one and everyonce in a while i get some backfires in too. (I just tell people its a misfireing system lol )

It's just something that happens every now and then. I'm running a MAPS system and still shoot flames every now and then.

do you have anything to adjust the fuel/air ratio?thats what hes asking.has your ecu been programed for anything?do you have any after market products in your fuel system? if your running stock injecters and the factory fuel pump it shouldnt be running to rich i would believe.

Have a talk to a local tuner about it, and see if he can have a look..

If your running stock injectors/pump you shouldn't be running rich without another problem like a faulty fuel pressure regulator.

Actualy, another cause of running rich is a faulty water temp sender. A faulty sender will give the ecu an incorrect reading e.g. freezing cold which will dump eaxtra fuel in too.

I was just going to ask if you had checked the codes in the ECU. The procedure is in the FAQ.

You're releasing metered air from the intake system that the ECU doesn't know is gone and still throws in fuel for it. There's not enough air to combust all the fuel (pig rich) and then the unspent fuel hits your hot turbo and exhaust and ignites.
