Hey guys whats the highest RPM you've taken your z on stock? I've taken mine all the way up to 6800. just wonderin how far you guys have pushed your before any mods were made

RPM... lol, i thought i was being called out! Thats my intials... Nice thread title.6600 maybe 6700... mines red @ 6600, don't like to go past it without supporting mods (head work) because when you go past that point the drop in shift usually goes a little lower = lose

I think I may be the only one who hasn't redlined! I shift at 3500-4000, and don't generally go over that. I think maybe 5k is the highest I've hit....

Thats good, there is no rush, give it time for comfort - the car will teach you things. I have a lead foot tho

i also have a lead foot. my drivers ed instructor said i go to fast cause i always went like 5mph over the limit and when he asked why i simply responded "it runs in the family". he responded with i never herd that before. long story short i learned to drive from my mom who learned from her mom. my G-ma drives fast my mom drives fast my sister drives fast i drive faster, and my dad only drives fast when he is in the benz. so ur never on time when he is driving.

I've had my 240z to to over 8000 rpm, carbs= no rev limiter

I have the limiter set around 6500, so I've taken it to there.I speed too much, today I almost got pulled over: I was stuck behind a truck so I pulled into the left lane onto the highway and passed him and right as I passed him, I looked to my left and saw a highway cop sitting outside of his car with his radar gun pointed down the road. If that truck wasn't there, I definitely would have been doing at least 80 and gotten my second ticket this month...

When you get a ticket take it to a lawyer. They always pay for themselves.

Whenever I am just driving fast I never go above 5500. If I were to race someone I would redline.
