When doing down a hill the RPM jumps and stays at 2,000 even though I am breaking, stays at 2,000 until I am flat again. Also whenever I accelerate, and then decelerate as the RPM go down it hangs at around 1,000 for a couple of seconds then drops quickly below 1,000. This happens every time I accelerate but didn’t use to happen (Thank you so much in advance)

I'm pretty sure all the CVT Alties had hill assist, although I'm not sure if you can turn it off on a gen4. You can on the gen5's and later. The "hang" when you decelerate is normal too, that's just the ECM letting the throttle plate down easy. Keep in mind that your Throttle Body is drive-by-wire. Under certain conditions the ECM will do something other than what your foot does, and drop-throttle is one of those circumstances.
