my 1996 ka-t is having some weird problems since the new engine was put in. it has a rough idle and acts like is is under a huge load when accelerating. and it has a miss at idle. it has 4 codes... p0100 (maf) p0325(crankshaft/camshaft position sensor performance) p1336(knock sensor) p1400 (evap) p1336 it revs past 2500 so i know the maf is at least not completely bad. any ideas?

sounds like your ignition timing is off, like way. i'd also try cleaning your maf. also try unpluging your injectors and your spark plug wires while the car is running to see if you have some other firing or fuel issues.

i have the ignition timing set at 20btdc as stated in the fsm.

not that i know of. and im running a blow through setup so i can run an atmos. BOV. with a t3/t4 turbo. had 370cc injectors and an AEM F/IC 6 but i removed the injectors and the F/IC so now im running stock injectors with the bypass plug installed.... oh wait. i had to install resistors in the o2 sensor wires the go to the ECM. could that cause this? but, i didnt have these problems before i replaced the engine.

oh and my AEM wideband is reading full lean unless i apply throttle.

i tested the maf and i have .67v with the ignition switch on and the engine off. i have 1.45v at idle. so those are good but form idle to 4k it only goes up to 2.8 instead of aprox. 4v as stated in the fsm. i cleaned it with denatured alcohol because i dont have maf cleaner and the idle got a little better,but its still not steady. but it still misses and doesnt have power.

i found that cyl4 is the one that is not firing. but it has a blue spark and the injector is firing. so could that mean that i dont have compression on that cylinder?

alright so im answering all oh my questions on my own lol. but i done a compression check on it and i have low compression on 1,2, and 3. and i have 0 on 4. and i added oil and re done it and the numbers stayed the same so I am going to pull the Head off and take it back to the machine shop and have them recut the valves. if that doesnt fix it the first person to bring my 3000 cash can have it! haha
