Hello,

This car does not have autolight system or fog lights, and I suspect that headlights do not work correctly.

When I put the light switch in the first position, the small light indicator on the dashboard comes on and the small amber lights turn on.
When I turn the light switch more into the second position, nothing changes on the dashboard and the outer lights turn on.
When I push the lever forward for high beam, the high beam indicator on dashboard comes on and the inner lights turn on, when I pull the lever back the inner lights and high beam indicator turn off.

So, in low beam position only the outer lights are on, and the inner lights come on only in high beam position.
Is this the correct behavior?

Also, if the car does not have headlight aiming control, is it possible to change the aiming of the outer lights. I would like to lower them a bit.

Thanks.

What you're referring to as "outer" and "inner" are low and high beams respectively. They're separate bulbs on your Rogue, not dual filaments. It's working correctly.

Thank you, it is just strange that dashboard does not have an indicator for low beam lights, as when the lever switched to low beam position, nothing changes on the dashboard...

Also, if the car does not have headlight aiming control, is it possible to change the aiming of the low beam lights?

There's an adjuster for the low beams on the back of the headlight housing (vertical only, no horizontal adjustment). The exterior lighting section for the '12 seems to be missing, but it's the same on the '11. See EXL-127 here:

Cars without Auto Lights don't generally have a dash indicator for low beams, but the illumination lights will tell you something is on, either parks or headlights.

i replaced the light bulbs with these from Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00TNMMZ8Q, and the lights seem to be a little brighter.
