I want to know more about KA24De reving... Im looking at making 400hp to 500hp so making more REVS!!! means more POWER BAND TIME... All the stuff that guy was trying to say about revs not helping might be true for him lol but for me and my turbo Ka I will take that extra 200rpm in my power band becuae if my turbo spools at 4k then I need everything I can get past that So what kinda setup am I looking at for 7.5kRPM? Becuase Im buying New OEM valve train since I can get it for about 400$ everything valves, springs, retainers, guides all for 400$ So I wondered if I could hit 7.5k on that with 91 CAMS please let me know... Also I was considering just buying springs and useing stock valves and gudies becuase I was told the KA24de really isnt a bad head design just needs better springs.. Thanks guys

Springs, retainers if you can afford them. That'd do 7500 nicely.

WEll,

That leads to my next question where can i get good valve springs that are stock spec that will be able to handle that... Becuase I really dont want to buy Valves just becuase I had to buy springs... Thing sucks is My friend can get me nissian stuff cheap from the OEM... So i wish some other springs out of another engine would fit in the Ka24de that would be better for 7500rpm...

Aftermarket unless you want to machine the head and produce spacers.

But I am good for up to 7200rpm right on stock?

Also while im at it Do you know if Port matching is that hard on a Ka24de head.. Becuase my Machinest is affraid to touch my head because he doesnt know how much he can cut off... I think he just to used to building V8's .. lol and thinks 4cyc will break easy.. I just wondered im doing a 3angle valve job and didnt know if it would be worth to port match.

Stock will do it, but it gets noisy. You might want to tighten up the lash when you buy shims.

You can port match any head pretty easily. You just use prussian blue and a gasket. Put the gasket on the head, and spray the gasket. It will leave an outline. You just grind away the outline and blend the radius. It would be easily done with a dremel or any other rotary tool.

Thanks for that feed back... hey nismo I have a question for you i dont know if you can answer this or not. But do you know any place to get a upgraded timing chain guid? I hear they make a metal one or something like that because it would be stupid to build this engine nad use a plastic one again.. unless im thinking retarted.. I was also wondering if I should buy a Oil pump (AfterMarket) that is.. or just get OEM ? I have a friend at Nissian that can get me stuff cheap.. So im trying to figure out what all i need...

OEM Timing chain guide is fine. They updated the KA one as far as I know.

The oil pump will be fine as long as you aren't going past 8000 RPM consistantly.
