Hello Nissan Hardbody Brothers and Sisters,

I have a '89 Nissan Hardbody (1 owner) me.

I've severely mistreated my bestie. She's been by my side longer than any human relationship I've had.

I've let her sit in my back yard until code enforcement threaten me with a $200 fine.

Yes, she is very sentimental to me my Grandfather bought me this ole girl for me.

I get offers all the time for purchase. I finally started tinkering with her and did a major tune up with no start.

I did alot of research recently and the bug to fix her has hit me. I can't hear that annoying hisssing when you turn the key........ So google that hissing and that is the fuel pump! So i unhooked the fuel filter and no gas is coming out.

So I was very scared of dropping the gas tank or removing the bed. Well i got an itch and jacked up the truck and dropped the tank to look at the fuel pump.

needless to say the fuel pump, assembly and gas tank is completely rusted out. I've ordered those items and will let you guys know what happens.Screenshot 2022-07-08 212958.png

p.s. i'm shame this truck has been sitting up for more than 10 years
Just 11 day ago, now we started and running!!!!

Somehow I missed this before. Usually that's the clutch hydraulics (master and slave, or a big ol leak in the line).

no fluid coming out of damper. master is holding fluid. slave doesn't seem to be getting fluid.

If the pedal isn't stuck, then chances are the seals in the master are torn and it's bypassing. That doesn't mean stuff downstream isn't shot too, but you need to get pressure at the source before you can test anything else.

Yeah if they are original/old, just replace both so you only have to bleed once. Should be super cheap on RockAuto.

PS,
My lights were out today so it was 104 here today and there was no need for me to be inside so i was testing and looking at the different possibilities.

I'm using duralast (autozone)parts and ordering a clutch line from partsgeeks.

My biggest question is where in the world can i get a rubber dust cover for the manual transmission (see pic)?
